Our Definitions

Justice
JUSTICE means actively dismantling systemic barriers affecting people’s ability to access resources and opportunities. This includes power, protections, wealth, education, healthcare, and social privileges.

Equity
EQUITY ensures everyone has access to the same opportunities and advancement. It eliminates barriers that have historically prevented the full participation of some. And it means we all have access to what we need to survive or succeed and addresses the root causes of disparities within our communities.

Diversity
DIVERSITY encompasses our differences: ability, ethnicity, first-gen student, foreign born, gender, gender identity, race, religion, sexual orientation, socioeconomic class, or otherwise. There is no such thing as lack of diversity. Our greatest power is to embrace complexity and dismiss reductive classifications.

Inclusion
INCLUSION promotes environments and quality relationships that affirm, uplift, and support the perspectives, voices, and wisdom of womxn and historically disadvantaged, disenfranchised, or disinvested communities.
